J & B Coffee Co.
Founded in 1979, J&B Coffee Company is the most well-known coffee house in Lubbock, and for good reason. The baristas are helpful, the seats are comfortable, and the food and drinks are fantastic.
J&B has a large variety of drinks in their menu, accommodating all kinds of coffee drinkers. Their iconic red and black logo on a white paper cup appeals to the Tech student community, and rivals the green and white of a popular chain competitor. J&B is designed for studying in groups because of the ample space available. There are rooms designated for meeting spaces with the “Back room” holding 50 people and an upstairs room that holds up to ten people for a more intimate setting.
J&B is a venue for the First Friday Art Trail and is a great place to grab a hot cup of something and a snack to start the night. It also displays art from local artists, so if you see something on the wall you like be sure to ask your barista if it is available.
If you do not have time to sit and sip, J&B has a 2nd location at 66th and Indiana that is drive through only. You can get your caffeine fix on the go in time for that 8:00 am class you accidentally signed up for. This popular coffee shop also sells their beans to take home so you can impress your company and up your coffee game when you don’t feel like leaving the house.
