Sure you can run to the grocery store and pick up a sack or can of cheap ground coffee, but we at Lubbock Grounds want to convince you that you can do better with your life.  Whether you like to head to a coffee house to have the perfect cup brewed for you, or you want to enjoy your cup at home (or both), the benefits of buying higher end coffee are plenty.

First, when you purchase coffee from a local coffee house, you know what you are getting.  All the businesses listed on our website provide detailed information about the coffee for purchase.  You can learn such information as what region the bean was grown in, at what elevation, and even background about the farmers who harvested the beans.  Being able to trace the coffee bean from its destination is a sure way to know the quality you are about to ingest.

Also, coffee you buy from your local shop will be much fresher than anything you can get at a grocer’s.  Coffee begins to degrade after roasting, and really begins to lose freshness and quality after it is ground.  Therefore, if you are serious about coffee, it’s best to buy the beans and grind them at home.

Lastly, the process of brewing coffee involves a little bit of science!  There are different opinions out there regarding perfect methods, but every coffee freak agrees that a few key ingredients are needed to make a great cup.  This includes getting the right temperature, the correct ratio of water to coffee grounds, the size of your grind, and your brewing method.

Leave the coffee making to the experts, and learn all you can from them by visiting your favorite coffee house. You’ll never be sorry you went the extra mile to make that special cup.
